Working with Local Food Photographers to create art.

We absolutely love seeing our fresh produce not only brighten up your plates. But also, we love to see it showcased in front of a camera lens. Preferably a camera held by someone with more skill than me!
Occasionally, we have the joy of working with the very talented, local food photographer.
Darryll Jones
of
Grumpy Cock Studios.
Recently, Darryll got in touch with a brief. He was searching for the best of local garden fresh produce. Obviously, our ultra local, farm and market garden produce perfectly fit the bill.
I think we can say, with confidence that our produce has never looked so glamorous!
Check out Sideshow Bob and his pineapple cocktail. Whilst not part of the aformentioned breif. It's a fun example of Darryl playing with our food!.

Fresh Produce Tells a Story; Behind the lens
When a food photographer is selecting ingredients, they are searching for something more than your average plastic packed supermarket offering.
They are looking for the right visual story. Taste, however, is still very important. Photographers must create the recipes with accuracy, doing them justice. So that people like me and you can enjoy recreating them at home.
Our locally sourced produce offers a story. Ranging from, vibrant, locally grown, heritage tomatoes . To interesting varieties of basil that I literally grew myself.
We know where our produce is grown, who by and how long it has been out of the ground for. Each element carries a story and a solid commitment to quality. Creating layers, texture and depth. This shines through in the images.

Why Presentation Matters.
Food photography isn’t just about pretty pictures or selling products. It’s about inspiring people, creating art and realising ideas.
A well-composed image makes you want to reach through the screen and take a sip. It invites the viewer to imagine a multi sensory experience sparking creativity and actively encouraging recreation at home.
By choosing Molly’s Pantry, Darryll knew he’d not only get a personalised service. But assurance that we'd source the produce shaped brush required for this project.

These images captured the natural, raw beauty of our ingredients. Encouraging us to see them differently. An unassuming punnet of glossy, multi coloured tomatoes. Transforms into a centrepiece in one image quickly morphing into a elegant bystander for the next.
Sprigs of purple and green basil became art. Each vein of each leaf refracting the light perfectly complimenting the glass it is crowning. What started as a humble crate of farm produce quickly developed into a scene out of a cocktail masterclass.

We love that our fruit and vegetables are delicious in the recipes that you share with us. We are forever blown away that they are also beautiful enough to offer building blocks to someones art.
It’s a small reminder that fresh, local, and seasonal food does more that just nourish your body. It also has the ablity to become a visual feast. Bringing its own touch of magic, where ever it goes.
Whether you’re cooking for family, fulfilling a project, or hosting your own gathering. You can be confident that our produce will look and taste the part.
